Hanoi ranks second in the top 10 cities with the friendliest customer service in the world
Hospitality and friendliness have long been seen as a highlight of Vietnamese tourism in the eyes of international visitors. Recently, Hanoi made its mark again by ranking second in the top 10 cities with the friendliest customer service in the world, according to the UK-based finance and commerce platform MoneySuperMarket.
The ranking is based on an analysis of over 100,000 customer reviews for businesses in 107 cities worldwide. The data is collected from restaurants, attractions, entertainment spots, and experience services to reflect how satisfied travelers are with the quality of service at each destination.
According to the published results, Edinburgh (UK) tops the ranking with 59% positive reviews, Hanoi comes in second with 58.6%, and Liverpool (UK) has 58.3%. The rest of the top 10 includes Paris (France), Dublin (Ireland), Montreal (Canada), Vienna (Austria), Abu Dhabi (UAE), Birmingham and Bristol (UK). With this result, Hanoi is the only representative from Southeast Asia to make it into MoneySuperMarket’s ranking.
According to MoneySuperMarket, the community culture, hospitality, and social connectedness are factors that help create a positive impression for visitors when they come to Hanoi. These values also help the capital offer tourists a friendly experience while exploring and using services. Vietnam is often mentioned as a destination with open, friendly people who are ready to assist travelers.

The ranking results continue to show that hospitality and friendliness are still important factors that make Hanoi in particular, and Vietnam as a whole, attractive to international tourists. These are also values that help reinforce Vietnam’s image as a safe, friendly, appealing, and experience-rich destination on the world tourism map.
